Of course, it was Joss who put him on the spot by asking him such. Why would a young woman who took so much issue with Dex potentially killing Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) on Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) orders pose that kind of question, and why didn’t she react in an equally as appalled manner when he admitted to feeling that way?
It sounds like Dex hasn’t changed all that much, despite becoming a cop, but maybe Joss has become a bit more lax when the hypothetical murder they’re discussing is of someone they both agree shouldn’t be alive.
Cyrus may come back into the picture now that things are picking up with the Spencer family. Joss was furious with Dex when she found out he was willing to kill a helpless old man just because Sonny told him to.
The contest of the circumstances and how Cyrus baited Sonny into an argument didn’t matter to Joss, and if we’re being honest, it didn’t seem to carry weight with Dex either. He didn’t actually want to kill anyone, but he would have.
Now, he’s improved himself enough that Joss can now believe he wouldn’t make that same choice again. At the same time, she’s asking if he would kill someone else — a person she does believe doesn’t deserve to live apparently.
Yes, Joss put Dex on the spot by asking if he wished he would have killed Heather when he had the chance. Was she just testing the waters? Was her insecurity getting the best of her?
Did she need to hear all over again that if he was presented with the same situation, he would do what she thought was right?
Or, has Joss’ opinion on what is right suddenly changed? How is Heather any different than Cyrus?
If anything, she apparently stands to bear less responsibility in the murders she committed than Cyrus ever did. Maybe this was more about Sonny than it ever was about Cyrus.
Dex was practically seething when he told Joss he had thought about killing Heather before, and his commitment to making sure Heather could never come near her was all that she needed to hear — to feel safe, that is. How did she reward his willingness to potentially kill a woman for her if that’s what it came to?
She jumped into bed with him, of course. She did the polar opposite of what she did when she found out he almost killed Cyrus. Make it make sense! The fans aren’t here for Joss’ hypocritical nature and we can’t blame them. Keep checking back for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
