GH Spoilers: Dex Is A Cop Now — And His First Arrest Is Laced With Irony, And Conflict

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is now officially a member of the PCPD. Having the right to arrest someone is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the reasons Dex is proud of this accomplishment. But his first arrest just might be the icing on the cake of this great week being inducted into this line of work.

He and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) have been at odds ever since Sonny learned Dex took money from Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to collect evidence against him that could put him away for life. Sonny’s mental health mishap with some botched medication only added to the discord between them for months.

Now, the dust has settled and they reached an agreement to leave one another alone. Will Sonny consider it a breach of that agreement when Dex is the officer who has to arrest him? That may become the least of his worries.

Sonny isn’t doing so well as keeping his personal thoughts to himself, despite being properly medicated for his Bipolar Disorder once again. He’s not so irrational that he can expect Dex not to do his job when required, right?

At the same time, the irony won’t be lost on him that the one case that might finally take him down is coming to a head with Dex placing his hands behind his back and cuffing him.

This is going to be a rather penultimate moment for Dex — and perhaps for his girlfriend, Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy), too. However, it could complicate matters because Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is involved.

If it is proven that Sonny has something to do with FBI Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates’ (Adam Harrington) death, then that means Carly is implicated in having covered for him and given him a false alibi.

Becoming an accessory to murder is the last thing Joss wants to see for her mother, but her anger isn’t misdirected.

Joss knows it was her mother’s choice to help Sonny out in this situation. This has been her worst fear, and now it looks like she may lose her mother because of her own poor decision to help a man who has —- in Joss’ opinion — only wreaked havoc on their lives.

Will Joss go out on a limb and ask Dex to somehow help Sonny get off so that Carly won’t go down for helping him? Obviously, Sonny going free is the last thing Joss or Dex want, but if it means Carly stays safe, they may both be willing to compromise their morals to pull it off. But how?
