GH Spoilers: Curtis Mounts A Defense For Portia While She Keeps Quiet About Brad’s Blackmail

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has a plan in the works that he thinks could help to safeguard his wife’s career against any accusation that she may have tampered with Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) test results.

Of course, he’s endangering his own credibility and freedom from persecution by going to such lengths, but what wouldn’t he do for Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr)?

We sure hope Portia is appreciative of the lengths Curtis is about to go to — especially since she hasn’t filled him in on her very uncomfortable conversation with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen).

Portia was so relieved to finally tell Curtis the truth about what she had done to try to protect their daughter, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), and keep Heather in prison where they feel she belongs.

She was grateful that her hubs didn’t hold it against her or condemn her for what she had done, and instead jumped into her corner to stand by her through this.

Fearful that her career might be in jeopardy, Curtis has enacted a plan to set the stage so that it looks like Portia couldn’t be anything but innocent. Will he come to regret that decision?

It’s unclear just how Curtis thinks he can help this situation along, but we know he doesn’t have all the puzzle pieces to work with. Once again, Portia is keeping him in the dark about what is really going on with her.

Looping him in on only half of the story may seem like it’s not all that problematic, especially if Portia thinks she handled the threat of the truth coming out by conceding to Brad’s blackmail, but Curtis taking things up a notch could put them directly in the spotlight.

Now, if the truth comes out that Portia did tamper with Heather’s lab results, it’s not just going to look bad on her. Brad may be able to weasel out of this, and few people would probably believe Portia at that point if she told them what he tried to do.
