General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) have been to hell and back trying to save their marriage.
After infidelity, long-kept secrets about Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) paternity coming to light, and Curtis being shot — they’ve endured it all. So no one is likely to see what’s coming next.
Will it really be their difference of opinions on Heather Webber (Alley Mills) and Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that is the nail in their marriage coffin?
General Hospital Spoilers — There’s No Reasoning with Portia
To be fair, GH fans are nearly fed up with Portia’s more recent complaints. While everyone can reasonably sympathize with Portia’s concern about the woman who tried to kill her daughter potentially being set free from prison, her irrational outlook on how that may come to be is grating on everyone’s last nerve.
It’s only practical that the mayor follow the letter of the law, and that doesn’t only pertain to citizens that everyone likes.
When new information comes to light suggesting a medical condition could have caused erratic and criminal behavior, the just thing to do would be looking into it to assure that criminal was prosecuted, convicted, and sentenced fairly. Curtis seems to understand that. Portia…not so much.
GH Spoilers Claim Curtis Sticks to His Word
When Curtis told Portia he didn’t agree with attacking Laura, she was taken aback. Instantly, she drew a boundary line between them. She became the parent who truly cared about their daughter more than Curtis did. As unfair as that sounds, it’s clearly how Portia really feels.
At the same time, Curtis is treading lightly, knowing he’s walking on thin ice and that he’s not going to break through to his wife’s more practical side as long as she fears what could happen to Trina if Heather were set free.
Still, Curtis won’t budge from his loyalty to Laura. He was stern with her at first, but after meeting with Heather himself, he has changed his stance — and his wifey doesn’t like it.
General Hospital Spoilers — Portia Can’t Move On
Portia and Curtis might have been able to table their disagreement over Heather and Laura enough to enjoy the romantic dinner Trina planned for them, but something tells us that peace isn’t going to last in this marriage.
Emphasis continues to be placed on how well they’ve overcome the struggles they went through at the start of their marriage, and in the land of GH, that means the worst is yet to come — which is exactly what Portia said to her hubby.
Despite Laura laying down her arms and deciding not to pursue this case with Heather, that won’t be enough for Portia knowing that she only did so because Heather requested it. Portia’s request didn’t sound.
Will Portia and Curtis be able to find stable ground as Portia goes for the jugular and Curtis continues to support Laura being the mayor? Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
