GH Spoilers: Could Sam’s Other Mother Rear Her Head At The Funeral?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) past may come into focus more in the wake of her death.

Some fans who haven’t been around as long are questioning why Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has been riddled with so much guilt over being absent from her daughter’s life — not understanding that she and Sam weren’t always around for each other.

We know that Sam didn’t have the best upbringing and Alexis has blamed herself for that as though she could have known. Now, might we see some of Sam’s youth slip into the limelight during her funeral and the days following her death?

General Hospital Spoilers — Before Port Charles

When Alexis was young, she got pregnant by Julian Jerome (William deVry), and her parents gave her little option but to send her away to give birth to her child and give her up for adoption.

It was a secret Alexis kept all her life from everyone who knew her until Sam came to town on a con and ended up looking for her birth mom.

When she and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) unearthed that truth bomb, it wasn’t a very warm moment for Sam. She and Alexis already loathed one another, after all.

It took a long time before they became the mother and daughter we have come to love in more recent years. Sam grew up with her adoptive parents — Cody McCall (Stanely Kamel) and Evelyn Bass (Unknown Actress), and we’ve been led to believe her childhood was less than stellar with them.

GH Spoilers Say Sam Was Reformed

It’s not a wonder that Sam turned to a life of conning people out of money. She grew up in the shadow of her disabled and disrespected brother, Danny McCall (David Greenman).

Sam’s adoptive parents only wanted to adopt a child so they didn’t have to risk having another disabled biological child like Danny.

Yes, Sam’s brother became the namesake for her future son with Jason – Danny Morgan (Asher Antonzyn). It took finding her people — and her birth mom — in Port Chuck for Sam to turn her life around.

General Hospital Spoilers — Alexis Learns a Lesson

Will we finally come face to face with Sam’s adoptive mother, Evelyn, at her funeral? Will her parents even care to attend or have they been out of her life for long enough that they’ll steer clear? Well, they’re both dead and gone.

Sam has only seen her adoptive mom in a nightmare once or twice over the years. But that doesn’t mean we’re not destined for some scenes with apparitions ahead, and some fans are pleading for it just so they can see Sam one more time.

But as for Cody or Evelyn showing up to contend with anyone, claim any access to their grandchildren, or to confront Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) or Alexis about Sam’s death…forget about it. They’re long gone. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
