GH Spoilers: Cody Confides In Maxie — Does He Want To Stay With Sasha Anyway?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is opening up to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) this week, and we have a feeling she’ll remain cautiously in his corner as he shares how losing Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) is making him feel.

Sasha was torn up from the moment Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) told her that Cody was her first cousin. In Sasha’s mind, this made it impossible for them to be together.

It’s quite clear from Sasha’s conversations with Maxie and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) that they agree with her. But Cody may have a very different outlook. What if he still wants to be more than friends with his first cousin?

General Hospital Spoilers — Cody Bell Doesn’t Care

Cody was quite stern with Sasha in telling her he didn’t want to be her friend. He loves her. She’s the best thing that has ever happened to him as far as he is concerned. He may not want to walk away from this relationship even in spite of the DNA test results.

Sasha may be a bit more amenable to hearing that, but it could fall on Maxie’s ears in a very different way — and why wouldn’t it?

Is the idea of two first cousins who’ve already fallen in love any more appetizing than two people who know they’re cousins in the first place? Not hardly.

GH Spoilers – Hint the Fans Are Divided

The viewers are pretty divided on this front. Some of them are highlighting all of the states that allow for first cousins to marry. Many are bringing up historical references even dating back to biblical times when cousins would marry routinely and have children.

All’s well that ends well in some people’s books. But on the flipside, other fans are completely grossed out that GH has even brought this storyline into the mix. Kissing cousins?

Plenty of viewers are saying no thanks and are furious that Cody and Sasha are being broken up in this manner.

The only way that most anyone is theorizing that GH can make this nightmare go away is either for it to all be a lie — or for Sasha to move on quickly with someone else. Who might that someone be? Her ex, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), of course.

With Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) gearing up to blow Michael’s marriage to Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) apart, it stands to reason that Michael and Sasha may both be on the rebound soon and hooking up.
