While Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) gets cozy with Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue), Ava will be busy finding ways to stay ahead of the game.
Sonny’s on two medications, lithium and a muscle relaxer, and Ava has just received the results of the lab test for the muscle relaxer- it’s clear it’s not the proper dosage.
However, Ava knows that there’s more to this situation than meets the eye-and she’ll further investigate by having the lithium tested as well.
It’s not just a simple mistake in Ava’s eyes; she suspects that there might be some deliberate sabotage involved, and someone’s hand is in the medications pot.
After all, Sonny has been a target for months now, and this latest incident only adds to her suspicions, and she could even easily be framed.
After all, this is the same thing Ava herself did to Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) bipolar meds-which indirectly led to his death.
Ava might suspect that this is merely a more cunning approach to dealing with Sonny, and she would be correct-only she doesn’t know which of his enemies is behind it-yet.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) devised this plan as a substitute for getting rid of Sonny, considering all the unsuccessful attempts at his assassination.
Ava is determined to investigate the modified medications and unravel the mystery and the person or persons behind it, after all, her life could be at risk as well.
It is possible that she will uncover the truth that Valentin orchestrated the reduced dosage through his pharmaceutical connections, after a whole lot of digging and maybe some greased palms.
Ava could trace the path and uncover the truth that Valentin has been secretly managing Pikeman, while Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) remains imprisoned.
If Ava were to uncover Valentin’s involvement in all of this, it begs the question of what happens next-will she confront Valentin head-on and demand answers regarding his ulterior motives?
Ava might argue that unless Valentin wants her to expose what she has discovered, he should be forthcoming about his true intentions-he might argue she owes him.
If it weren’t for Valentin, her face would be full of burn scars; he’s the one who referred her to the Boronsky Clinic!
But appealing to her vanity won’t work if Ava eventually realizes that Valentin’s plan is to manipulate Sonny and have him incarcerated, it would undoubtedly raise concerns.
Valentin discussed with Brennan the idea of permanently eliminating Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and framing Sonny for the crime; perhaps Ava could connect the dots and expose this scheme as well.
Valentin could also attempt to sway Ava’s allegiance and persuade her that Sonny’s favoritism will eventually fade, and encourage her to side with him.
With Sonny growing closer to Natalia Rogers-Ramirez (Eva La Rue), doubts may arise in Ava’s mind about her position in Sonny’s life and whether it will remain secure.
Valentin might encourage Ava to prioritize herself and secure sole custody of Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) once Sonny is imprisoned.
This alliance between Ava and Valentin could be formed, but they’d both have to watch their backs as they run the risk of betraying one another!
