GH Spoilers: Ava’s Interest In Ric Mounts, But He May Be Too Distracted By Alexis Soon To Care

General Hospital spoilers report Ava Jerome (Maura West) seems to be crushing on her attorney, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst).

This is the last thing Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) thought would transpire from introducing them as potential attorney and client.

Ava just got herself unraveled from her touch-and-go entanglement with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) — and now she’s battling the guy in court for custody.

The last thing she needs is to get involved with his shifty brother who is always trying to stick it to the mob boss. But while Ava might be interested in Ric, that doesn’t necessarily mean he feels the same attraction.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Makes A Move

Soon, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will be buried in grief in the wake of Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) death, and rumor has it she may lean on Sonny for support.

This is bound to get under Ric’s skin more than words can emphasize. Will it leave him hyper focused on Alexis while Ava fights for his attention?

Ava couldn’t deny her growing interest in Ric as Nina tried to talk her out of it and reminded her she doesn’t have the best track record for avoiding being used by a man. Ric, of all the men she’s been with, is keen on using women to his advantage every chance he gets.

Nina is right. Can you name even one woman Ric has ever been with that he didn’t wrong terribly to suit his own agenda? Manipulation and covert deception are his strong suits, and he plays women like fiddles as they fall at his feet for his heroic act.

Ava is no different, despite how much she feels she is. So when she makes a move and tries to level up from friendship and attorney-client relationship to something more with Ric, will he take it there?

Rumor has it that Sonny — Ric’s nemesis and arch enemy — may become a strong support system for Alexis soon when Sam’s untimely death rocks her world.

For certain, Ric hasn’t been trying to get cozy with Alexis; he doesn’t even act remotely interested in her the way he has been with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), his other ex-wife.

But Alexis will inherently look a lot more appealing to him when he sees Sonny moving into that territory. Any time he can compete with his brother, he’s happy to.

When Sonny and Alexis find their way into more romantic territory, it’s sure to make Ava fade to black. Will she stand for that?

Ric can’t afford to lose his pulse on Ava and make her feel like yesterday’s trash. He needs to maintain their working relationship and his representation of her to make sure the case goes in the direction he wants it to for Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos).

But can he do that when he’s so blinded by rage and jealousy that Sonny is once again being welcomed into the family fold and embraced as a supportive co-parent — a deference Alexis never bestows upon Ric? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
