GH Spoilers: Ava Points Her Finger At Portia, But Where Will That Leave Her With Trina?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Ava Jerome (Maura West) might have shown up at Dr. Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) office showing concern that she could be found out as the person who messed with Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) test results, but that doesn’t mean Ava isn’t complicit in pointing the finger of blame in Portia’s direction.

It’s hard to say whether she already had Portia in mind when she alerted Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) that this may not have been a simple lab error and could have been intentional, carried out by someone who wanted Heather to stay in jail no matter the personal cost to them in fudging the results.

Now, Ava might feel inclined to help Portia clean up her mess that Ric never would’ve been alerted to had she not opened her mouth. Is this really about Portia being in the clear, or is it about Ava saving her own skin?

Now that Ava has opened the door for her and Portia to have this conversation, it’s only a matter of time before the GH Co-Chief of Staff further confides in her.

Feeling like Ava has been good to Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) for so long, Portia may come to feel she can take the leap in trusting her.

But her daughter’s blind spot for Ava could become her own if she’s not careful. It’s obvious that Ava cares about Portia not taking the fall here, but it may not merely be because she cares about Trina.

Ava stressed that Trina cannot — and never has to — find out what her mother did. Of course, at that time, Portia was still denying that she played any role in the mix-up with Heather’s lab results.

Ava could tell right away that she was on the right track when Portia started to look frazzled upon hearing Ric had ordered the same lab work from a handful of other independent labs. Realizing right away what this meant for the stunt she pulled, Portia tried to backtrack.

Ava knows she would never want Trina to find out, but Ava also wouldn’t want Trina to know now that Ava does — nor that Ava is the one who put the idea in Ric’s head that someone tried to sabotage the lab results on purpose.

It’s never cut and dry being friends or allies with Ava. She always has an agenda. We’ve come to expect that. Even when she seems like she’s on the same page, she may turn on her friend down the road if it suits her. Just ask Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Ava cannot be trusted, and Trina is probably going to soon learn that lesson the hard way, as will her mother. The question is, will this daughter have any sympathy for her mom after what she has done?
