GH Spoilers: Ava Finds An Ally And Bedmate In John Cates

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Ava Jerome (Maura West) is making enemies left and right. And with an upcoming custody case looming between Ava and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) over Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava & Grace Scarola), Ava needs all the allies she can get.

Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) has remained her attorney at least for now, but that will change if Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) gets her way.

She may have just found an ally in John Cates (Adam Harrington). They both share a hatred for Sonny so that could bond them in surprising ways.

General Hospital Spoilers – John Cates is in town to take down The Pikeman Group

In his capacity with the FBI, John is actually in Port Charles to protect Sonny. As viewers know, several attempts have been made on Sonny’s life by the mysterious leaders of the Pikeman Group.

So as much as Cates hates Sonny because of their past relationships with Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne), he’s been most focused on using Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to take Pikeman down.

The Pikeman case may be coming to an end very soon, once Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is revealed as the head of Pikeman.

GH Spoilers – John Cates may soon shift his focus to Sonny Corinthos!

As much as Cates wants to take Pikeman down, he would like nothing more than to see Sonny suffer. He would be more than happy to see Sonny spend the rest of his day in prison. That’s exactly what Ava needs right now as she pursues full custody of Avery.

Ava has recently blackmailed Sonny’s pharmacist to switch out Sonny’s already weakened bi-polar medication with placebos. Her hope is to drive Sonny into having a public meltdown to strengthen her case.

To that end, she might manipulate Cates into being at the right place at the right time to witness Sonny’s breakdown.

General Hospital Spoilers – Ava Jerome could easily seduce John Cates

In order to make sure that John is on her side, it’s easy to imagine that Ava would seduce the FBI agent. That way, she can make sure that John is there when she plots a very public confrontation with the mobster.

If Sonny tried to hurt her or anyone else during the altercation, then John will get his wish and Sonny will be arrested.

And FBI agent’s eyewitness testimony of Sonny’s violent nature could easily secure Ava’s custody of Avery with the added bonus of sending Sonny to prison.
