GH Spoilers: Asher Antonyzyn Talks How Danny Is Just Like His Dad, Jason

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that while actor Asher Antonyzyn first entered Port Charles as Danny Morgan last November, since the character’s father, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has returned, Danny’s been thrust into center stage.

The young actor recently caught up with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) to talk about “all things” Danny, plus how much the character resembles his onscreen dad.

General Hospital Spoilers – Asher Antonyzyn’s First Gig

Interestingly enough, GH isn’t only Asher’s debut in daytime, but also acting. He commutes from his Chicago home to the soap’s California set, and one major lesson he’s learned so far is that he doesn’t like watching himself on TV.

Antonyzyn tells SOD, that he did watch his first GH scenes, but overall, doesn’t watch. As Asher states, he “cringes” when he watches his GH scenes.

He also said that while talking to Steve Burton, the soap veteran acknowledged that he was the same way.

GH Spoilers – Is Danny Morgan Following In Jason Morgan’s Footsteps?

Asher tells SOD that he loves working with all his GH castmates, including Burton, and can’t wait to dive deeper into Jason and Danny’s relationship now that Stone Cold is back.

He also believes that Danny is certainly a lot like his dad, which could mean that danger is on the horizon for the Port Charles youngster.

As Antonyn notes to SOD, it would be “a lot of fun” to play”, and he believes Danny will get eventually land in some hot water. Asher states, he can’t count all the times that people have said Danny is “just like his dad”.

The actor goes on to say that if Jason isn’t sent away again, Danny could have a great connection with his dad.

Right now, Danny’s mom Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is working overtime to keep her son away from Jason, as she believes this will protect him in the long run; however, is she right in doing so?
