GH Spoilers: As Sonny Deliberates Trusting Jason Again, Ava Doubles Down Against Him

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was rather surprised when he realized Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) initially thought Sonny was to blame for the attempt on his life at the coffee warehouse.

Learning he had come to realize that wasn’t the case was a relief to Sonny. At the same time, he was also shocked that Jason didn’t turn him when he had the chance.

But as much as Sonny mulled over the idea that Jason could have ruined him and decided to keep his secrets and protect him instead, his gut is still telling him he cannot possibly trust Jason again — at least as long as the guy is acting as an FBI informant.

Sonny has been fooled by too many people in his life as of late, and he’s not about to make that mistake again anytime soon.

GH Spoilers — It’s Been A Rough Few Months

Finding out that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) were conspiring with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to “protect” Sonny behind his back was a hard enough pill to swallow.

Despite their claims that Dex and Michael had reversed course on their original intention to secure evidence on Sonny that would put him away for life, the mob boss just couldn’t see past the fact that his son was ever trying to throw him in prison.

Trusting Dex after that breach of trust and knowing that he came on board with bad intentions from the start was asking too much.

To make matters worse, then he found out his wife, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), was responsible for trying to send Carly to prison — which resulted in Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) landing there.

When Jason came back from the grave working for the feds, that was the last straw for Sonny — and he has walled everyone off since.

General Hospital Spoilers —Sonny Corinthos Will Soon Have More Doubts

Although he left the Metro Court pool insisting he wanted to trust Jason again but just couldn’t, something tells us Sonny is going to rethink that decision soon.

As more information comes to light about Jason’s situation, Sonny may start to reconsider what Jason has really been up to and that it has nothing to do with him.

Since Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) just found out the truth about Jason’s FBI informant status, they could blow the whistle on him and leave Sonny wondering if Jason was ever the enemy at all.

Of course, we have to account for the fact that Sonny isn’t exactly in his right mind right now either.

GH Spoilers — This Could Backfire

Ava Jerome (Maura West) has been working overtime to make sure she retains the spot of Sonny’s most trusted friend in his life.

With everyone else falling by the wayside, it hasn’t been that heavy of a lift. That is, until Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) came into the picture.

Ava might think Natalia is going to be her biggest challenge, but if Sonny starts to reconsider letting his best friend back into his life, Ava will know it’s only a matter of time before her position in his world is eradicated.
