GH Spoilers: Anna’s Warnings To Sonny And Jason Could Actually Give Them Pause This Time Around

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) didn’t waste time last week in rushing over to Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse just as soon as she got word that Ava Jerome (Maura West) had been released from jail.

Someone — likely Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) — posted her bail and set her free.

But Anna’s first stop wasn’t figuring out who helped Ava out, nor what Ava’s next steps were.

Anna knows Sonny all too well and wanted to make sure he wasn’t going to go after Ava and try to take her out.

While Sonny assured Anna that he wouldn’t touch a hair on Ava’s head, she knows exactly what his vague language means and that he could send any of his many hit men to do the job, technically keeping his own hands clean.

Anna is bent on bringing Ava to justice if she is truly responsible for Kristina Corinthos Davis’ (Kate Mansi) fall. But will Sonny steer clear of killing the mother of his child in the name of revenge just because Anna said so? For once, he just might.

When Anna showed up at Sonny’s place, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was already there with him talking strategy. Anna knew what she was walking in on and that her words may be wasted on them both.

Still, she had a job to do protecting and serving the people of Port Charles — the good and the bad. But when Jagger showed up at the hospital to arrest Kristina, everything changed in a dime.

As soon as Sonny gets wind of this, one might think he would race to take care of Ava and Jagger in one fell swoop, but it’s pretty clear that that is just what Jagger is hoping for. Is Kristina the bait for his ultimate trap to catch Sonny red-handed?

Anna was quite clear that she would not go easy on Sonny if he made any attempt to harm Ava. But obviously going after Ava isn’t going to help his daughter as long as she is in a jail cell.

Sonny will have to think through every step he takes here to make sure he’s not stepping on a land mine intentionally put in place by Jagger.

With Anna ready to throw the book at Sonny, even the optics won’t bode well for him if someone else goes after Ava. What does that mean? He could actually end up protecting her.

Yes, Sonny may see the writing on the wall. Okay, maybe Jason helps him to see it. The point is, Jagger clearly has an agenda against Sonny and is intending to provoke him by arresting his grieving daughter. Will it work?
