GH Spoilers: Anna’s Next Love Interest — Is It Jagger?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has been pretty caught up in the downward spiral of her life falling apart, but lately, her focus on catching the person who shot up the Metro Court Pool has been a great distraction from her mess of a life.

General Hospital Spoilers — Anna Devane Lost Her Status As An Agent For The WSB

Professionally, she couldn’t be more embarrassed and shattered to have lost her status as an agent for the WSB, but it’s also been liberating to break free from those ties. At the same time, she’s taking on a new but familiar venture as the Police Commissioner.

A return to this role comes just in time for her to work alongside FBI Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington).

While Jagger may have been closer in age to Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough) growing up, he and Robin’s mom are already sparring — and fans have made note of the chemistry. Come on! Anna is owed this fling after her fallout with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), right?

GH Spoilers — Valentin Wasn’t The Love Of Her Life

Valentin was so thrilled when he realized he would finally have the opportunity of a lifetime to love Anna — and be loved by her. It was a dream come true for him, and one he never thought would see the light of day.

Somehow, he still managed to botch the most important romantic relationship of his life. But for Anna, Valentin was many things, but he wasn’t the man she had been waiting for all her life.

In fact, some fans argue that person is still her ex-husband, District Attorney Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). Despite Anna’s affection for bending the rules of the law, Robert has never combatted her too hard on that front.

Many fans of the long standing relationship as co-parents wish that spark would reignite because Robert seems to be the only man who is comfortable with Anna playing the role of the good cop when she’s sometimes the bad girl.

General Hospital Spoilers — This Will Never Work

Enter Jagger. He’s many years Anna’s senior, but old enough for it not to matter. They share a complicated history, and Jagger’s relationships revolved more around Anna’s daughter than Anna herself once upon a time.

Times have changed, and now Anna is at the center of this investigation with Jagger. They’re going to continue to bump heads and disagree on the right approach to tracking down this shooter, but that will give them plenty of opportunities to get sparks flying.

How many of Anna’s relationships have started with men she couldn’t get along with or wouldn’t otherwise allow them to be the leader? Need we say more?

Still, many fans say a relationship between Jagger and Anna would never work because he’s far too by the book and she’s…well…not.

GH Spoilers — Sonny Drives A Wedge

We can imagine that the bulk of the arguing going on between these two will be wrapped up in proving who is right and who is wrong about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Jagger might claim he’s here to save Sonny’s life — and some part of him probably believes that — but he wouldn’t shed a tear if the mob boss was taken out in the interim.

That’s going to bother Anna, but moreover, it’s going to bother Jagger how deeply Anna seems to care for the man he blames for taking his brother away from him.
