GH Spoilers: Anna Will Come To Regret Going After Sonny When It’s Robin’s Life On The Line

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is gearing up for what may be the biggest case of her lifetime — and that’s saying something.

Becoming the PCPD figurehead who was finally able to take down Port Charles crime lord Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) isn’t even the driving force that is motivating Anna.

It’s her own guilty conscience she’s facing upon realizing how much she’s given this mafia master the benefit of the doubt and turn of her cheek over the years.

Unable to look away any longer from the horrific things he’s done, she’s ready to move forward — however carefully — to take him down. But Sonny’s retaliation may know no bounds when he’s in this unmedicated state. Will he play fair in his fight for survival, or could the people he and Anna both love become collateral damage in their war?

General Hospital Spoilers — Anna Devane Makes Her Move

Anna is sitting on enough evidence to go after Sonny, but she is growing increasingly concerned that approaching an effort to attack him must be timed perfectly with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) coming into the PCPD police force.

She understands the risk posed to Dex’s life if word gets out to Sonny that Dex is becoming a cop, but she isn’t aware that he already knows the process is underway.

While Dex’s life is quite literally in danger right now, Sonny’s livelihood and freedom are, too. Rumor has it Anna will beat Sonny to the punch and lock him up before he can take Dex out.

GH Spoilers – Spill Sonny Corinthos Goes For The Jugular

Retaliation is a game Sonny plays well. He would never dream of going after the people he loves — or the people they love. But when Anna goes after him, he’s going to view that as a betrayal, too.

Normally, Sonny would retaliate by going directly after Anna — trying to sink her career or otherwise hamper her happiness and safety.

He knows the only thing that kept him in Anna’s good graces over the years was his relationship with Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberley McCullough), and alas, that may be where he strikes to inflict the most pain upon Anna.

Normally, Sonny wouldn’t dare to harm a hair on Robin’s head, but desperate times call for desperate measures and Sonny isn’t properly treating his Bipolar Disorder.

If he has any dirt on Robin or any means to inflict pain on Anna by way of going through Robin, he’ll do it.

No one in this equation understands they’re not working with the typically dangerous mafioso himself, but rather, an unstable and improperly medicated version of an already-treacherous man.

General Hospital Spoilers — Jagger Cates Comes Into Play

Word on the street is that it may be Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) who comes to Anna’s aid in the nick of time.

Jagger may have come to town with a vendetta against Sonny, and Anna’s plight will only intensify his hatred for the guy, but Jagger isn’t going to let any harm come to the woman whom his baby brother loved until his last breath.

One thing is for certain, Sonny will have to reckon with himself when he comes back to his senses and realizes how far he took things against Anna — involving Robin in their war — when he wasn’t thinking clearly.
