GH Spoilers: Alexis Tells Molly About Her Plans, Diane Gets The Disbarment Reversed?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) will tell Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) about her plans.

Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) thinks she can get Alexis’ disbarment reversed, so Alexis can go back to practicing law.

General Hospital Spoilers – Molly Lansing-Davis Is The Assistant District Attorney

Even though Alexis’ being in a courtroom might still be a way off, it’s wise that she’s telling Molly about her plans this early in the game.

Molly is the assistant district attorney, and she takes over when District Attorney Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is not available or there’s a very crowded court calendar.

There is a chance at some point mother and daughter could be opposing each other in the courtroom so they need to work out a protocol.

Alexis hasn’t practiced law since before Molly took her job as the ADA, she was still in law school when Alexis was disbarred.

Needless to say, Molly is happy and excited for her mother even though Diane hasn’t quite gotten her disbarred yet-she’s confident she can, and when she does, they’ll be partners again.

GH Spoilers – Either May Recuse Herself-If It Comes To That

When relatives, especially close ones, practice criminal law, they have to be very careful to not present what could be considered a conflict of interest in the courtroom.

That means that Molly and Alexis should not be opposing each other in court, and one could recuse herself and Molly have another ADA or Alexis another attorney represent her client.

This is not as bad, however, as if Molly were a judge-then there really could be problems; the questions would be about Molly, and her prosecuting her mother’s client.

If Alexis won the case and Molly were the judge then there could be questions of collusion.

However, right now that is a not an immediate concern-Diane has to get Alexis’ disbarment reversed.

General Hospital Spoilers – Talking About Current Events

However, Molly and Alexis also do a little talking about current events, especially considering an article about Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) shooting was in The Invader.

Alexis has done articles on current police cases before, including a series where she tried to draw “The Hook” out of hiding-that didn’t work.

This case, however is one where both Molly and Alexis are much closer to the victims-Dante is involved with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

Both Sam and Alexis were involved with another target, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is the prime person of interest.

Molly and Alexis talk about that case as well, and if Jason is prosecuted, neither should touch it with a ten foot pole!
