Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) is due to have a baby this August. Legally, that baby belongs to her and her brother-in-law, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).
TJ is having all kinds of internal regrets about moving forward with Kristina as their surrogate, but he just couldn’t tell Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) no at the time.
Looking back, he’s kicking himself, and now he can’t stop interjecting every opinion that crosses his mind about how Kristina is handling her pregnancy with his child wrong.
While Kristina may be valid in feeling like she’s being attacked, Alexis is only going to grow more concerned that she is becoming more defensive toward Molly and TJ — the baby’s would-be parents.
Normally, Alexis can go to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) with concerns about their daughter, but he’s not in the best shape to help her work them out right now. Will that blow up in her face?
Right now, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) may have talked her best friend off a ledge by encouraging her to stay out of her daughters’ affairs and not try to play lawyer for either side of the impending debate.
Alexis is holding onto hope that all will work out just fine with their not-so-legal surrogacy situation.
She has a nagging feeling it won’t, and word on the street is Kristina is going to come along soon and give her plenty of reason to suspect the uneasy feeling in her gut is correct.
When Alexis approaches Sonny for his help talking to Kristina and helping her to understand the commitment she made to TJ and Molly, she may not receive the warm welcome and support that she has been used to getting from him in the past.
The reality is, Sonny is not being properly medicated for his Bipolar Disorder, and Alexis is about to get a front-row view of what that looks like.
When he doesn’t exactly meet her halfway and encourages her to instead trust Kristina, despite the valid concerns she’s presenting, Alexis may have to find other means of getting through to her daughter.
The worst thing that could happen in this scenario is that Sonny will run back to Kristina and tell her everything her mother said to him.
Typically, that’s not something Sonny would do. He may talk to his daughter, and it may be clear to her that he’s doing so on the heels of having had a discussion with her mother. But he’s never boldly thrown Alexis under the bus before.
When he does this time, it’s going to leave Kristina scratching her head about her father’s mental state, while at the same time being too angry with her mother to tell her about it.
Will Sonny continue to spiral while Kristina isolates away from both of her parents — and the baby’s soon-to-be parents? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
