She can hardly admit to them what she was really up to without incriminating the daughter she’s been trying to protect.
Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) was out on bail at the time that she stole that gun from her father’s penthouse apartment. If Alexis tells the police it was in Krissy’s possession, she could be thrown in jail.
Just the same, Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) could wind up in the hot seat for confessing to stealing the gun from her dad, Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard)place.
Thus, Alexis could confess to stealing the gun from Sonny’s place, killing Cates, and ditching it in the river just to try to spare her daughter any further grief.
The police arrived at Sonny’s door just in time last week to scour his penthouse apartment and monitor Sonny’s reaction to “finding” one of his firearms missing — conveniently, the same type that was used to kill FBI Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington).
As the details of this case continue to make Sonny look like a guilty party, and Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) starts to think she may finally get her man, Alexis and Kristina both throw wrenches into the plan that derail everything.
Alexis isn’t going to stand for her daughter looking like she killed a man when she didn’t. But let’s be honest. Alexis wouldn’t stand for her daughter looking like she killed a man even if she did.
She would move Heaven and Earth to exonerate her in the court of public opinion and law. But this is going to be an uphill battle as Kristina fights her and refuses to let either of her parents look like guilty parties in Cate’s death.
Will Alexis choose to combat her in return by confessing to this crime to exempt Kristina from any heat the police are going to throw her way?
When Kristina puts two and two together that her father killed Cates, she’s going to struggle with letting her mom take the fall for this. Scratch that. She’s going to struggle with the fact that her dad is okay enough with letting Alexis confess to a crime she didn’t commit.
If the only way to clear Alexis’ name is to come forward and admit he did it, that’s not going to happen. Will Sonny risk losing Kristina in the process after he just got her back?
It may seem like the right choice is rather easy, but Kristina didn’t want to lose her dad before; this time won’t necessarily be different. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see where her loyalty falls.
