GH Exes Kirsten Storms & Brandon Barash Prove Positive Co-Parenting Can Exist After Divorce

While the land of daytime drama often spotlights the ugliness of divorce and how parents place their kids in the middle of it all, it’s refreshing to see Days of Our Lives’s Brandon Barash (Stefan DiMera) and General Hospital’s (GH) Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) take another approach.

They are undeniably role models in the world of co-parenting, and one glimpse of either’s social media, and you’ll see that their offspring, Harper Barash, is one content kiddo.

Barash recently shared a picture of his daughter, now 10 years old, holding her baby brother, Joaquin.

In the caption, Brandon writes, “My loves. My mind cannot conceive of a more magical moment/picture than this.” Looks like Harper is not only an amazing big sister but is enjoying being the “oldest” sibling at her dad’s house.

Meanwhile, being the only child at her mom’s house has some perks, too. Kirsten recently posted a photo of Harper rock climbing. Storms notes in the social media captions that, her daughter raced up some walls, but it took some more time with others.

She describes the tween’s “little limbs” “shaking”, and how she was in awe of the child’s enthusiasm, noting she’s “pretty sure” that Harper is a “happy kid”. Looks that way, to fans too!

Kirsten and Brandon met on the set of GH when Barash played Johnny Zacchara on the soap. They confirmed they got hitched in 2013, and then Harper arrived in early 2014.

In April 2016, the couple announced that they were divorcing, but were committed to raising their daughter together, and their split was amicable. They’ve stayed true to those sentiments over the years.

Barash later met and married his current wife, Isabella. The two welcomed their first son together, Joaquin, in September 2023.

Storms and Barash continue to be proof that soap operas don’t always imitate life, and divorcees can do better. Wonder what Stefan DiMera and Maxie Jones would think about all this?

Depending on the ex, Jones would likely agree, as she and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) have always been great at co-parenting; however, Stefan on the other, might snuff at the whole thing!
