General Hospital (GH) news and spoilers reveal that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was killed off in December 2025.
In fact, the episode aired on Friday the 13th! While there are a lot of things and people that Evan will miss, there is one thing he definitely will not! Keep reading and let’s talk about what the actor had to say.
General Hospital Spoilers – Dex Heller’s Debut
GH spoilers reveal that Dex started off with an interesting journey. Dex was hired by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to spy on Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) mob business. Eventually, Dex earned redemption but Sonny was still furious when he learned the truth.
Then, there was Dex’s romance with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and starting a new career chapter with the Port Charles Police Department.
After that, it seemed that the writing was done for Dex. It’s been a while since Dex was part of any exciting storyline. So, it seems there wasn’t anywhere for the character to go from here.
GH Spoilers – Character’s Death
On Friday, December 13, 2024, Dex was recovering from surgery after being stabbed while on duty.
Dex seemed fine after the stabbing but he did need surgery. After the surgery, Josslyn went to visit with Dex again, only to find he was already gone.
Characters are already commenting that Dex died in the same way as Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). As the autopsy is done, more answers will be revealed.
While Josslyn has never approved of murder under any circumstance, I could see her changing her mind over Dex’s murder, especially if the justice system fails.
General Hospital Spoilers – Evan Hofer Won’t Miss This
General Hospital spoilers reveal that now that Dex is gone, Soaps.com chatted with the actor. While Evan will definitely miss his co-stars and the fast-paced job, there is one thing he won’t miss at all. Apparently, it’s about tea.
“The tea selection was a little weak but I brought my own.”
The actor explained that once in a while, he would compare teas with Finola Hughes (Anna Devane). Then, the last time that Emma Samms (Holly Sutton) was on set, he told her,
“Please, if you ever need any teas, I’ve got you.”
Apparently, before Holly’s last exit, she left Evan a “lovely gift of tea.”
General Hospital Spoilers – Uncertain Future
Now that Evan is no longer in Port Charles, would he be interested in appearing on another soap opera? The actor said if the circumstances were right.
It would be heard to see Evan on The Bold and the Beautiful or The Young and the Restless. I could, however, see Evan playing someone new on Days of Our Lives. So, we shall see!
