General Hospital spoilers suggest Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is nearly on her way out of Pentonville, and it’s anyone’s guess what shape her life will be in when she heads back to it. But before she could link arms with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) as her new partner at law, she found herself taking the fall for FBI Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates’ (Adam Harrington) murder as a means for covering for Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) breaking the terms of her probation and stealing her dad’s gun.
Still, Pentonville may have had one upside. Interestingly enough, ending up cellmates with Heather Webber (Alley Mills) might have opened Alexis’ eyes to the other side of law once again — the side where some people are convicted for things they didn’t do, or weren’t truly at fault for. Will this experience spur a change in the direction Alexis wants to take with her career?
Before she was hauled away on charges for a murder she didn’t commit, Alexis was shaping up to get things back in order. She had left her job as Editor-in-Chief of The Invader, and managed to regain her admission to the bar as a licensed attorney.
Diane is keen on defending even the most notorious criminals from persecution, but Alexis may have something else in mind moving forward. Revisiting the cases of the already-convicted has been an interest of hers since the first time she went to prison — back when she lost her license.
Helping Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) gave her a renewed purpose she had almost forgotten. Now, stumbling upon the details of Heather’s case may have reinvigorated that.
Virtually no one is pleased with the news that Heather may go free soon. Learning about her issues with metallosis doesn’t seem to change that outlook.
The people of Port Charles were terrorized by her and most of them just can’t fathom that she is actually a changed woman and wasn’t responsible for the murders she committed with that poisoned hook.
Still, Alexis has always believed that everyone is entitled to fair legal representation and is innocent until proven guilty. But what about the cases of guilt gone awry?
What about the rulings the judges and juries get wrong? Don’t be surprised if she leaves Pentonville considering helping Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) with Heather’s case.
Diane was Alexis’ biggest champion in getting her license back to be a practicing attorney again. She instilled the confidence in her to chase down that win in the first place, and represented her at her bar appeal hearing.
Learning that Alexis even provided any off-the-record advice to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about Heather’s case infuriated Diane, but Alexis was quick to point out that Diane’s own prior arguments in Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) case could be used to set Heather free — a pill that Diane bitterly swallowed.
Now, if Alexis joins ranks with Ric to build that very case, we can just about guess there won’t be a law partnership in the works anymore for Alexis and her bestie. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this shakes out.
