You will not believe the little cutie who shares a bed with the future King and Queen. Okay okay, I can’t hold up the suspense anymore; it’s Orla, one of Ella’s beautiful offsprings.

If you’ve read “Meet Ella” by James Middleton – aka Kate’s younger brother – you’ll know that Ella is a therapy dog who saved him from depression and suicidal thoughts.

Though Ella is now late, she still lives on through her puppies and Prince William and Kate are the happy receivers of one of her little pups. So of course Orla can sleep anywhere she likes.

Prince William Reveals This Exciting Detail About Orla During An Engagement

When it comes to having a fairytale marriage, William and Kate are always at the forefront of any list about it, but their fairytale got a whole lot sweeter in 2020 when they became the proud parents of Orla.

During an engagement at the Duchy College in Cornwall, England, on Thursday, Oct. 17, William happened to come across a cute fans’ dog and took a moment to pet him.

From there, they had a little conversation and William dropped the surprising detail that Orla loves to curl up with them at night.

“[William] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate,” Louise Harland – the fan with the beautiful rare dog breed – told Hits Radio Cornwall.

“[He was] absolutely in love with my little dog. He asked what breed he was and he’s never met one of those breeds – he’s a Cockerjack – so he’s a little bit of a unique combination,” Harland added.

The 42-year-old royal also commented on the dog’s “soft” ears while giving him lots of loving.
While we don’t often get to see their beautiful Orla – whose name translates from Gaelic to mean the golden princess – she did make an appearance in Kate’s sweet “end of chemotherapy” video.

In the video, we see the little pooch lying with the royal couple on a picnic blanket on the beach. She also made an appearance in Princess Charlotte‘s beautiful seventh birthday portrait, taken by Kate.

Before Orla, the Wales family owned another cocker spaniel in the name of Lupo. He sadly passed away in November 2020, aged nine.
