FBI International Season 4: Jesse Lee Soffer’s New Character Revealed

FBI: International is gearing up for Season 4 on CBS, and will be returning to primetime with all new episodes in Fall 2024.  Chicago P.D. fans were thrilled when news broke that fan fave Jesse Lee Soffer would be joining the cast, and now we know more about the character he will be playing.  Keep reading for all the details, FBI International spoilers ahead!

Jesse Lee Sofer’s – Chicago Exit

Jesse Lee Soffer has become a Chicago P.D. legend over the years.  The talented actor began his career in the 90’s and got his big TV break when he joined the cast of now cancelled soap opera As The World Turns. 

Soffer played the park of Will Munson until 2008, and then began booking some impressive prime time roles.

Jesse Lee Soffer hit the big time in 2014 when he booked the role of Jay Halstead on Chicago P.D.  Halstead also did multiple crossovers on Chicago Fire and Chicago Med.  Fans were devastated in 2022 when Soffer left the Chicago franchise.

When news broke that Jesse booked a role on FBI: International, rumors teased that Soffer would still be playing Hallstead. 

After all, FBI and Chicago series are all Dick Wolf’s babies.  It wouldn’t be absurd for Hallstead to join the FBI, after all he has been a police officer for over a decade.

Sadly, Soffer has finally confirmed that he will be playing an entirely new character and won’t be resurrecting Jay Hallstead.

According to FBI: International spoilers on TV Insider, “Soffer will be playing a new character, Supervisory Special Agent Wesley “Wes” Mitchell.  Wes is “newly embedded to the Fly Team” and “charming and rakish, an agent whose impeccable instincts and unconventional tactics fuel his drive to stop at nothing to achieve justice.”
