Extreme Makeover Home Edition Star Stabbed To Death

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition lost a fan favorite this week.  Reality TV star Eduardo Xol was found clinging to life in his California home on September 18th, and was reportedly stabbed. After a week in the hospital, Eduardo succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at just 58 years old.

Who was Eduardo Xol?  The Spanish author and home designer debuted on ABC’s Extreme Makeover series during home renovations’ heyday on television. 

Xol aired on the series from Season 2 – Season 8 and was in charge of the landscaping on their renovation projects. 

You can still catch reruns of Xol in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on CMT and TV Land.  In 2012 ABC took the series off the air, but in 2019 home design powerhouse HGTV resurrected the show and began filming new episodes.  

After his time on Extreme Makeover, Eduardo Xol went on to write a book for Harper Collins, appear on Good Morning America, and even write for People Magazine.  

Eduardo Xol’s family released an emotional statement after he passed that read, “We are heartbroken at the tragic loss of our beloved Eduardo Xol. As his family, we know that his kindness has touched the lives of so many. 

We ask for that kindness returned now allowing our privacy to be respected as we process our grief. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in Eduardo’s name to the Lupus Foundation of America as he spent so much of his life in the service of others.”

Extreme Home Makeover – Eduardo Xol’s Killer In Custody

According to a report from TMZ, the police have Eduardo’s killer in custody under suspicion of murder. 

So far no details have been released about the stabbing, it’s unclear what happened between the two men that fateful morning.  As soon as more details are released, we will be sure to pass them along.
