EastEnders spoilers and updates for the week of July 21 tease risky moves, plea hearings, job opportunities and more! Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) makes a risky move, Dean Wicks’ (Matt Di Angelo) plea hearing takes place, and Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) is ruthless over a job opportunity.
EastEnders Spoilers – Reiss Colwell Risky Move
Reiss’ financial problems are getting worse, and a reminder from the nursing home about the money he still owes them only adds to his stress.
Desperate for a quick cash infusion, Reiss creates a VAT (Value Added Tax) invoice claiming that Sharon Watts (Leticia Dean) owes him money.
Although he initially considers backing out, he ultimately decides to follow through with the plan, giving Sharon a deadline of the next day to settle the payment.
Will Sharon fall for his scheme so easily? Or will she realize something’s fishy besides the fish and chips?
EastEnders Spoilers – Plea Hearing Takes Place
Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) is still locked up for the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), and his plea hearing is scheduled for next week.
Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) can’t make it, leaving Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) feeling disappointed. But when Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) behavior raises red flags, Bernie finds herself distracted.
Will Linda be able to keep it together, or will she do something to draw suspicion to herself and the Six?
Viewers will recall although Keanu’s real killer, Linda was defending Sharon, who Keanu was strangling, stabbing him in the back with a meat thermometer fork, she could still be charged with murder.
EastEnders Spoilers – Tommy Moon’s Behavior Is Worrisome
Tommy Moon’s (Sonny Kendall) rebellious behavior has caused quite a stir in the Moon household. Despite being reprimanded by Kat Mitchell (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), Tommy continues to act out.
His decision to skip school and engage in activities against their wishes, such as sparring with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) at the gym, only adds fuel to the fire.
To make matters worse, Tommy jumps to conclusions about Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) and Maya Houssain (Bharti Patel), suspecting them of having an affair.
He even suggests to Phil that he should reunite with Kat; will Alfie and Kat be able to steer Tommy back onto the right path before it’s too late?
EastEnders Spoilers – Linda Causes Suspicions
Linda and Sharon meet up to discuss their concerns about Dean’s plea hearing and the upcoming trial. Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) is well aware of Linda’s recent struggles and tries to lift her daughter’s spirits with some words of encouragement.
However, when she sees an empty vodka bottle, she is suspicious that Linda may have relapsed.
Understandably, everyone involved in the coverup of Keanu’s death would be worried, considering Dean was set up to take the fall as Keanu’s killer. What if the truth is uncovered and he’s found innocent?
EastEnders Spoilers – Tommy Moon And Kat Clash
Back with Tommy and Kat, Tommy’s actions take a turn for the worse when he neglects his summer job to meddle in Phil and Kat’s relationship, despite their feelings about it.
When Kat arrives and discovers Tommy’s interference, she firmly rejects any possibility of reuniting with Phil and tells Tommy to leave immediately.
This leads to a heated argument between Tommy and Kat, unlike anything they have experienced in the past.
Tommy is obviously not taking Steve and Kat’s divorce very well, and would prefer they had stayed together. But the more he tries to parent-trap them, or perhaps stepparent-trap them, the more resistance he’ll find.
EastEnders Spoilers – Reiss Colwell Into A Snag
Reiss’s scheme to extort money from Sharon hits a snag when Phil overhears him and catches wind of his intentions.
Although Sharon admits that Reiss may have a point since she hasn’t been diligent with the finances, Phil remains skeptical.
As Sharon confronts Reiss about the missing receipt, it appears he’s trapped in a difficult position.
Can he figure out a solution to extricate himself from this mess? An ugly confrontation with Phil is the last thing he wants or needs.
EastEnders Spoilers – Penny Is Ruthless Over A Job Opportunity
Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) causes a stir by taking a top from Penny’s stall, leading Penny to confront Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) about the incident. Luckily, Penny seizes an opportunity to move on from her stall and explore new horizons.
Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) recognizes Penny’s talent and entrusts her with running a night at Peggy’s.
However, Chelsea might soon realize that giving Penny this responsibility was a mistake, as Penny proves to be quite competitive in pursuing this job opportunity. Penny makes bold moves that puts Chelsea in quite the spot!
EastEnders Spoilers – Sonia’s Big Decision
Prior to visiting the care home to visit Debbie Colwell (Jenny Meier), Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) opens up to Martin Fowler (James Bye) about her financial concerns. Together, they devise a plan to improve their financial situation.
Sonia takes the bold step of selling number 25 to generate some much-needed cash. She wastes no time in setting up a meeting with the estate agent to kickstart the process.
As she focuses on securing a better future for herself and Reiss, will she uncover Reiss’ hidden activities?
EastEnders Spoilers – Chelsea Shocked By Penny’s Ruthlessness
Chelsea’s week takes a sudden nosedive when she’s caught drinking on the job by Phil. He quickly demotes her, leaving her feeling crushed.
As Chelsea’s world crumbles, Penny sees an opportunity and eagerly vies for the manager position at Peggy’s.
Chelsea is stunned by Penny’s bold move and desperately appeals to Phil for another shot – but will he budge? Has Penny’s pushing forward impressed him?
EastEnders Spoilers – The Walls Close In On Reiss?
Sonia is on cloud nine and resolves to whip up a romantic feast for Reiss so that they can enjoy her happiness together.
However, her cheerfulness is short-lived as Martin and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) arrive unexpectedly, shedding light on their true feelings about Reiss.
Despite their best efforts, Sonia refuses to listen and angrily shows them the door. Will she eventually come to realize the truth about Reiss’s intentions?
