EastEnders spoilers for the week of September 23 tease someone’s lured into a trap, someone’s confronted, someone’s threatened and more!
Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) is trapped, Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) is confronted, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) is threatened and more.
Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) is in danger next week because of his threatening father, Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry); will Vinny be able to escape?
Nish is working on a plan to frame Vinny for the chicken shop’s money laundering by arranging a cash exchange between Vinny and Harti (Jason Kavan) in the Square gardens.
Vinny ignores his mother Suki’s (Balvinder Sopal) warnings and follows Nish’s instructions, heading to a secret drop-off location.
Suki wants to meet Harti at the café, where Harti tells her that Nish has alerted the police, who will arrest Vinny when he shows up.
After Suki steps in, Vinny comes home, and Suki urges him to leave Walford; Vinny gets into a cab to escape, but he and Suki don’t realize it’s a trap!
In another part of town, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) makes her grand return and immediately confronts Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) about the situation concerning her sister, Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy).
On the day of Debbie Colwell’s (Jenny Meier) funeral, Martin Fowler (James Bye) stands by Reiss after receiving a call from Sonia. As they prepare to leave, Debbie’s parents, Brenda (Nichola McAuliffe) and Hugh Collins (Michael Bertenshaw), arrive to assert that Reiss is not welcome.
Despite Reiss’s attempts to reason with them, Martin decides to host a wake at The Queen Vic instead. Reiss is moved by this gesture, but just as he begins to deliver his eulogy for Debbie, Bianca storms in, demanding answers!
As the week continues, Bianca interrogates Reiss over Sonia’s arrest, but he becomes overwhelmed and leaves the house-later, Bianca accuses Reiss of Debbie’s murder, and Reiss comes close to confessing.
Martin and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) arrive to diffuse the situation, but Bianca remains firm in her believe that Reiss is guilty, and takes some desperate measures to antagonize him.
Martin comforts Reiss, who tells Martin about Bianca’s depression diagnosis; in The Vic, Bianca and Martin have a heart-to-heart about her recent struggles, and Bianca sleeps over in Kat’s flat.
Kat urges Bianca to face up to her actions and see a doctor about her erratic behavior, and Bianca meets Martin and repeats her distrust of Reiss.
Bianca skips her GP appointment to go to Sonia’s fundraising event, but will she ever seek help-and can Bianca prove that Reiss is a murderer?
Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) has a serious warning for Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), while his son Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) finds himself in a tough spot.
In a bid to help, Teddy teams up with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) to persuade Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to give Harry a trial shift at The Arches. Although Harry is hesitant at first, he changes his mind after Jack makes a remark about his work ethic!
Later, Teddy confronts Jack at his home, delivering a threatening message in retaliation for Jack’s comments about Harry. What does Teddy say, and will Jack take him seriously-it appears Jack isn’t exactly quaking in his shoes!
Teddy feels disheartened when he learns that Harry has skipped out on his first shift at The Arches.
However, Harry manages to redeem himself later by helping Phil retrieve Kathy Cotton’s (Gillian Taylforth) handbag from a thief! Yet, in a moment of solitude, Harry makes a cryptic phone call that hints at some shady dealings connected to his new position.
He then meets up with a contact at McClunky’s, which catches Jack’s attention, prompting him to request a warrant to search the garage.
Phil decides to terminate Harry’s trial, suspecting that he’s a liability; Teddy takes a moment to caution his son about the potential consequences if the police dig into their activities.
Harry becomes the talk of the Square, drawing curiosity and speculation. However, Teddy persuades Phil to allow Harry to wrap up the week at The Arches, strategically planning a charity event for Sonia at Mitchell’s Autos to exonerate his son.
Phil is taken aback by this revelation, but Teddy skillfully navigates the conversation by asserting that the fundraiser was Harry’s brainchild.
Reluctantly, Phil agrees to reinstate Harry at work, but Jack remains suspicious of both Harry and Teddy, creating an air of concern for the duo. What schemes is Harry involved in, and what secrets are they keeping from everyone?
