Yolande shares her concerns, believing Patrick’s interference will only escalate the situation, as Yolande becomes more upset, Patrick expresses his own emotions; eventually, Yolande convinces Patrick to head back home.

They finally agree to report the rapist to the church authorities instead of calling the police or Patrick taking matters into his own hands.

As any husband would react upon finding out his wife had been assaulted, especially by someone in a position of trust like a pastor, Patrick’s barely able to contain his rage.

He and Yolande agree that more violence upon the monster by Patrick won’t solve any problems and won’t make Yolande’s attack any less egregious.

They agree that reporting him to the church officials to be disciplined may be the best route, and Yolande is finally able to explain the medical appointment.

The police will likely be involved anyway because the doctors have to report the crime. Still, both Patrick and Yolande have a difficult time dealing with the situation.
