And what brought this on-as suspicions mount against Phil from Billy and the rest of the Mitchells, Stevie sets out to uncover the true culprit who stole Lola Pearce-Brown’s (Danielle Brown) charity funds.
Despite Stevie’s questioning, Will is determined to mislead his grandfather and then attacks him, forcing Phil to intervene.
At The Queen Vic, Will fiercely defends Stevie against Phil; however, when Phil refuses to believe in Stevie’s innocence, Will storms off in anger.
Stevie follows Will to his home and convinces him to confess his actions; despite Stevie’s urging, Will stubbornly refuses to come clean, causing Stevie to lose his temper.
In a moment of madness, Will knocks Stevie over and hastily leaves the scene, and Stevie lies motionless on the floor while Phil witnesses Will’s escape and calls for an ambulance. At the hospital, doctors diagnose Stevie with a concussion but assure that he will recover.
Later, three new individuals, Stevie’s son Teddy, and grandsons Harry and Barney Mitchell (Elijah Holloway, (Lewis Bridgeman) arrive in search of him.
Billy tells Stevie he’s relieved he’s safe, but that their relationship as father and son is over-Stevie is surprised to see Teddy and lies to him about his whereabouts.

Teddy follows Will and Billy to Albert Square, and later Billy learns that Will is at the pub with an unfamiliar man. A confrontation seems imminent until Stevie reveals that Teddy is Billy’s brother.
Billy is shocked, but Teddy wants to know who harmed their father and Stevie has some explaining to do as tensions rise. Overwhelmed, Billy leaves in a hurry, with Stevie following, leaving Phil and Teddy to face off.
In the meantime, Harry searches for information on his own and there is a strong attraction between him and Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine). Barney, on the other hand, learns about life in Walford from Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James).
After Stevie receives medical attention, Phil confronts Will about the incident and Will admits to everything-Phil then sets out to find the boy who is blackmailing Will.
Later, Will apologizes to Stevie and they are interrupted by Teddy; Phil invites his adoptive son Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and son-in-law Callum Highway (Tony Clay) to watch football with him.
