General Hospital spoilers and updates pose the question of the dastardly dilemma of redeeming Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison). Can this character still be saved, or has the rewrite of Drew simply gone too far?
General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Cain Had Such A Great Start Played By Billy Miller
Drew (Cameron Mathison) originally came to Port Charles as Jason Morgan (now Steve Burton) with a new body and face-or at least he was thought to be Jason. He started bringing up some of Jason’s memories, but it turned out it was due to memory swap experimentation.
It was later revealed that he wasn’t Jason, he was his long-lost twin Drew Cain, who no one had known existed-except Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) once he realized who he was.
That Drew was likable, even lovable, and we felt for him when Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) chose Jason over him when the truth was revealed.
He was a caring dad to his son Oscar Nero (Garren Stitt) and was forgiving and kind to Franco; he also made a best friend in Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).
GH Spoilers – Drew Was Presumed Dead, As Jason Morgan Had Been-Thanks To The Cassadines!
Drew was presumed dead as Jason had been, thanks to the Cassadines-in particular Victor Cassadine, (Charles Shaughnessy) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey). He was discovered alive years later when he managed to get ahold of a phone and contacted Sam.
In a later rescue, which culminated in Jason being presumed dead again, he came back to Port Charles a celebrated hero, and fell in love with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
He took the fall for her and went to prison for her insider trading, which she had done to help him and her son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). But somehow, while in prison, everything changed-and Drew was not a changed man for the better!
General Hospital Spoilers – A Downhill Slide
The new Drew initially came across as quite underhanded when he attempted to take ELQ from his cousin Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). This is a stark contrast to the old Drew, who would never have acted in such a way.
He then ended his relationship with Carly upon discovering that Jason was alive, fearing he would lose his top spot; Drew harbors significant jealousy towards his brother.
His most questionable actions include kissing and sleeping with his nephew’s wife, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), while simultaneously being involved with her mother, Nina Reeves(Cynthia Watros).
To make matters worse, he intends to exclude his best friend Curtis from a job that was rightfully his; is it possible for someone to redeem themselves after all of this?
GH Spoilers – Everybody Hates This New And The Opposite Of Improved Drew Cain!
