Since Mark has custody of his younger siblings, one can only surmise that Clyde’s leverage has to do with what happened to their parents to leave the children orphaned.

Could Abby have had something to do with their parents death and that is why they expect Chad to pay the price?

Perhaps Abby’s investigation of Clyde is what lead to their parents getting killed. Could Mark or Marin have been driving the vehicle that caused their accident and Clyde covered for them?
