The list features beloved actors like Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera), LeAnn Hunley (Anna DiMera), Christie Clark (Carrie Brady), Chandler Massey (Will Horton), and Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady Weston).

Additionally, Charles Shaughnessy (Shane and Drew Donovan), Matt Ashford (Jack Deveraux), and Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Deveraux) are also coming back.

Recently, Thaao Penghlis shared a photo on X with his on-screen brother, Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera), taken in the Days of our Lives makeup room. He praised Flynn and the new co-head writers, Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford, who took over from Ron Carlivati in June.

In May of this year, Thaao shared his sentiments with Soap Opera News, expressing his intention to bid farewell to the world of soap operas.

He remarked, “The landscape is evolving with fresh characters and financial limitations; Some beloved figures have departed, it’s time to embrace new horizons and cherish the moments that have been shared.” Yet, with a revitalized perspective and a new team of writers, Thaao appears to be relishing his return to the ensemble.

He’s rejoining the illustrious DiMera family, a delight that audiences can anticipate in the summer of 2025. Thaao also had played Tony and Victor Cassadine on ABC’s General Hospital, Victor a role more recently played there by Charles Shaughnessy.
