Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal Robert Scott Wilson’s character Alex Kiriakis has certainly experienced a whirlwind of drama this year, particularly with the recent love quadrangle.
In a recent interview, Wilson shares insights on the potential return of Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) , adding to the excitement of what’s ahead.
Interviewer: Can you give us a hint about what’s in store for Alex in the latter part of 2024? Robert: Alex is working on finding some stability in his life- he’s found himself in a bit of a tricky situation with Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins).
His heart has always been tied to someone he deeply cares about; I believe we’ll witness Alex exploring a genuine relationship.
Additionally, he’ll be caught up in the family business, which is constantly facing challenges, along with the ongoing succession drama involving Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer). Add Philip Kiriakis (Jon Paul Lavoisier) in, and it’s been quite an exciting journey!
Interviewer: Have you found it fun to clash with Carson Boatman (Johnny DiMera)? Robert: Absolutely- I really enjoy working with Carson-whenever we get the opportunity to throw down on screen, I seize it.
Carson is not only a fantastic guy but also a close friend of mine. He takes it all in stride too; there have been moments when I playfully swung at him a bit. Nothing wild, just a little something to keep him alert during filming.
Interviewer: What are your hopes for Alex in 2025? Robert: I envision him making significant strides in his life overall; initially, I thought about him contributing to the family business, and I really want to see that journey unfold successfully.
I believe he has the potential to excel in leading Titan and managing the business aspects.
He might also be at a point where he can start thinking about marriage, children, or even nurturing his personal life a bit more.
He’s been so focused for quite a while, and I feel that 2025 is the perfect time for him to embrace that next chapter.
Interviewer: It seems like it’s been quite some time since Ben last appeared in Salem; is the character officially done for now?
Robert: In Salem, you can never be too sure-that’s my take on it; I truly enjoy portraying Alex, and witnessing the character’s growth from the very beginning has been a fantastic experience.
From my first day on set, collaborating with Alex’s family—Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis), Judi Evans (Bonnie Kiriakis), and Zach Tinker (Sonny Kiriakis)—really shifted my perspective on this new role.
It’s been nothing short of incredible; as far as I know, Ben is here to stay for the time being- I have a deep affection for Ben, who made quite an impact.
While I wouldn’t turn down the chance to step back into that role, I’m thankful for the opportunity to explore new challenges with Alex.
Interviewer: Were you able to reconnect with Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady Weston) during her return for the tribute to Bill Hayes?
Robert: Not really, we didn’t have much time together. It was more of a brief appearance.
I did notice she came back for a few episodes. However, I did have a chance to chat with Peter Reckell (Bo Brady) and Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady) for a bit, which was great for catching up.
