If Rolf has the ability to bring someone back to life, then surely he can restore her spinal nerves as well; together, they might just find a way to heal her!

Rex learns about Sarah’s predicament, likely through his mother, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow), or possibly from Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).

He can’t stand by and watch Sarah, a relatively new mother, suffer for the rest of her life, despite his animosity towards her husband, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), which is mutual.

Having trained under Rolf, Rex knows that even though Rolf has been in hiding since his escape with Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson), he can still locate him.

Rex explains Sarah’s situation to Rolf and weighs the risks of working with a fugitive; however, he believes that if Rolf can help Sarah, it might lead to exoneration.

DOOL Spoilers – Rex Brady And Rolf Have Peformed Miraculous Recoveries

Both Rex and Rolf have a history of performing miraculous recoveries, with Rex saving Kate, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) from a lethal toxin.

Rolf has brought several individuals back to life in the past, including Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), whom he kept alive until Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) heart became accessible.

He also played a key role in resurrecting Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo), albeit using Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) body, which resulted in the creation of “Steveano.”

Rex collaborates with Rolf to find a cure for Sarah, but they do so discreetly at first. Rex cleverly accesses Sarah’s medical records using his old Salem University Hospital credentials, as he wants to avoid raising false hopes for Sarah and her family or exposing Rolf.

Initially, they extract spinal nerves from a deceased lab animal with the aim of regenerating them independently, and after conducting a transplant in a living subject, they successfully develop a protocol.

This endeavor is fraught with challenges and is initially illegal, as such a high-risk procedure is unlikely to meet CDC standards. Typically, experimental methods require years for approval, but Rex is determined to risk his medical license to help Sarah regain her ability to walk.

They reach out to Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and Kayla, sharing their research and experimental findings—Rex presents first, followed by highlighting Rolf’s assistance.

They persuade Maggie, Kayla, and Xander that it’s worth a try, and Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) agrees to help clear Rolf; the only way to know is to do it.
