DOOL Spoilers: Kristian Alfonso Talks About Missed Storyline Opportunity For Hope & Doug, Before Bill Hayes’s Passing

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note that while Hope Williams’s return to Salem is bittersweet, fans will welcome the opportunity to see the iconic character back on daytime screens.

Actress Kristian Alfonso recently talked to TV Insider about Hope’s comeback and a missed storyline opportunity for the character and her father.

DOOL spoilers suggest that Hope Williams will return to town to be a part of the Bill Hayes/Doug Williams tribute episodes, coming in the fall of this year.

While actor Bill Hayes passed away in January of this year, due to Days filming several months ahead of time, the show will address his character’s passing then.

Kristian played Doug’s daughter for decades, and Alfonso notes during her TV Insider interview that she’s appreciative that the show included her in the series of episodes honoring the legacy of Bill Hayes and Doug Williams.

She was happy to see her DOOL castmates; however, she did enter the studio with a heavy heart.

Kristian also spoke about not getting the opportunity to work with Bill Hayes, “one last time”. Something had been planned for her 2023 return; however, for one reason or another, it did not come to fruition.

Alfonso states she’s “sad” she didn’t get the chance to have a storyline with Bill, noting that Ron Carlivati, Days head writer, had planned something, and it was “great”.

She adds that Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope were going to return to Salem to reunite with family and she would’ve had father-daughter scenes with Bill.

Alfonso goes on to note that what Carlivati wrote was emotional, beautiful, and a fantastic story. She was “100%” for it, and the Days viewers “would have loved it”.

She also added some hope for Bope fans stating that no one should “give up” on the idea of a storyline with the super at some point in the future.
