Despite their efforts, Chad and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) couldn’t catch a frontal glimpse of the mysterious woman, portrayed by AnnaLynne McCord, in captivity.
The whereabouts of the woman remain unknown, adding to the suspense of the storyline; there are an overwhelming amount of questions without answers, leaving Chad eager to address them promptly.
Though Clyde Weston (James Read) is currently isolated and unable to receive visitors, Chad might attempt to secure a final meeting through bribery.
It remains uncertain whether Clyde will divulge any valuable information, as he can be unpredictable in what he reveals and how honest he is at any particular moment.
One thing is for certain-whether the mystery woman is Abigail or not, if indeed she is still alive in captivity somewhere, she needs help!
If she turns out not to be Abigail after all, it will be a disappointment that will enrage Chad and likely Julie, but someone somewhere will be happy!
No matter what happens, the story wouldn’t be as captivating if the mysterious woman remained a hostage forever; sooner or later, Chad will find a way to free her.
Maybe he can enlist the help of Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), which could also involve the ISA helping all the pieces of the puzzle to come together, leading to her rescue.
It’s easy to picture Chad bursting through the door, tears streaming down his face, and joyfully declaring that it’s Abigail.
However, there’s a twist in store because we already know there will be doubts about whether this woman is truly Abby.
It’s puzzling that the show decided to take this direction, especially since they couldn’t bring back Marci Miller.
It’s quite absurd to have a lookalike story if the actress doesn’t resemble anyone the audience recognizes; but Chad and all of Abigail’s loved ones perceive she’s an exact replica.
Chad may be completely convinced that it’s Abigail standing before him, but she might vehemently deny his claim!
Fans of DOOL will remember that when Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez) first laid eyes on Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash), she was also convinced he was Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash.)
And Stefan was believed to be dead at the time, but Jake turned out to be his twin. But remember, Cherie doesn’t bear any resemblance to her predecessor, Camila Banus, either.
In order for Abigail to have an exact replica sibling that nobody was ever aware of, the whole historical timeline would need to be rewritten!
It’s worth noting that McCord was initially introduced as a character called “Marin”, so we’ll have to wait and see if that’s her real name or if it changes.
Naturally, Days is known for its unexpected twists and turns, so it’s possible that McCord could actually turn out to be Abigail if she has undergone some form of mind control.
Soap operas always offer leeway for thrilling storylines, which makes it intriguing to witness how things unfold in the future.
