DOOL Spoilers: How Will Eric Leave Salem-Will He Get His Priesthood Restored?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and rumors pose the question as to how Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) will leave Salem.

Nicole Walker DiMera’s (Arianne Zucker) last airdate is July 29, but on June 28 Eric has life-changing news; Zucker recently revealed in an interview there’s no future for ‘Ericole’.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Eric Brady Recently Used EJ DiMera’s Legal Assistance

Eric recently used EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feurreriegel) assistance in a publication divorce from Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) in an unexpected twist. 

Although at least two or three others besides Sloan know Eric is really Jude Brady’s (Oliver McLarty) birth father, Eric is not one of them.

EJ himself, Melinda Trask, (Tina Huang) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) all know the truth-and Stefan’s using it against EJ.

One would think or at least hope that Eric would know the truth before he leaves, and that Nicole would before she leaves.

So, what could Eric’s life-changing news be that he has for Nicole-will Stefan make good on his threat to EJ, or will Eric announce he’s had his priesthood restored?

DOOL Spoilers – Eric Brady May Not Leave Town Right Away

The reason Eric was defrocked in the first place was the stupidest of reasons, and nothing to do with doing something wrong or any kind of sexual sin.

A higher up in the diocese made the decision that Eric was performing unauthorized exorcisms and revoked his priesthood after trying to cast the devil out of his mother and Salem.

Eric soon went on a downward spiral, drinking and out of the aftermath of it met and became involved with Sloan, and this after becoming involved with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu).

Jada chose to abort the baby she and Eric had conceived, putting Eric into a state of anger and grief which led to his downward spiral.

It was just too much all together, although his father Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) kept him on at the pub, Eric eventually going back into photography.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Restoration Of Priesthood Would Be A Good Reason For No ‘Ericole’

Restoration of Eric’s priesthood would be a good reason for Eric and Nicole not to reunite and leave Salem together-even if by that time, the baby secret will likely come out.

Eric’s life-changing news for Nicole may be that he’s been restored to the priesthood, and after the secret comes out he’ll likely return to his missions in Africa.

Arianne, in her interview did not reveal how exactly Nicole leaves although she said Eric and she won’t reunite and the character isn’t killed off.

Could both Arianne and Greg’s exits be permanent, or Greg’s exit be temporary-there’s buzz that he will reprise his role of Lucky Spencer on General Hospital.

Perhaps the exits will rest the characters for enough time to bring them back on as recasts eventually, viewers will just have to wait and see!
