DOOL spoilers reveal that the only thing fans know about Doug 3.0 is that he’s apparently the grandson of Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and he just got out of jail.

Of course, as soon as he presented himself to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), the grieving widow welcomed him with open arms. Meanwhile, Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) was very skeptical of him.

Hope’s intuition is probably right, but what exactly is this young Doug up to? As a criminal, he may have major plans in store for the Hortons, Julie, and Salem.

DOOL Spoilers – The Necklace Theft Was To Earn Trust

Days spoilers remind fans that if Doug III simply was looking for a payday, he’d be gone by now.

He successfully accomplished swiping the expensive necklace, and as most everyone believes Steve Olson (Stephen Schnetzer) stole the piece, Doug could easily stay for a couple of days and then move on.

But it looks as if the young man wants to build roots within the town and establish a bond with Julie and the rest of the family. Perhaps the reason for him stealing the jewelry was not for a small payday, but a bigger one.

The Hortons on not millionaires like the Kiriakis and DiMera families, but a piece of Doug’s inheritance could go a long way for someone like Doug 3.0.

Could the reason for his snatching the necklace be about earning trust in Julie’s eyes and becoming a ‘hero’ of sorts when he finds it and presents it back to the family?

He won’t only be the one to save the day for Julie, but in doing so, he’ll also clear her brother’s name, which she’ll likely be very thankful for.

This would further secure space for him in the family and Julie’s heart so he can wreak even bigger havoc and possibly a much larger payday.
