DOOL Spoilers: Cherie Jimenez Talks Gabi’s Life After Stefan, Smiling More, & Her New Direction In Life

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers promise some exciting developments for Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez).

While she’s still mourning the breakup of Stabi, as Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) left the canvas, she recently caught up with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) to talk about her character’s new direction, which has left Gabi smiling a lot more as of late.

DOOL spoilers remind fans that Stefan’s exit from Salem has been devastating for Gabi. Jimenez tells SOD that her character is absolutely heartbroken over this and will forever be saddened by the Stabi divorce.

However, Jimenez also adds that as time wears on, Gabi will move forward, focus on her business, forge a relationship with her cousin, and have “other chance meetings”, which will open up a different part of her life to explore.

Jimenez states, “New relationships and new people in her life are going to bring out different parts of Gabi. So, there’s more opportunity for her, over time, to smile.”

DOOL Spoilers – The Reason Behind Her Smile May Surprise Fans

Days spoilers seem to suggest a romantic rekindling between Gabi and an ex that just returned to Salem, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss). Still, could this be the reason Gabi is smiling more in the future?

In her SOD interview, the actress notes that Gabi is going to be more career driven. She adds, “With the family dynamic and with [Gabi’s cousin] Javi coming in, I’m smiling more. I’m laughing more. There’s lots of great banter. So, it just allows for more personality to come through.”

She also states that as the soap films so many months ahead, she’s seen Gabi take on an entire new life and new direction.

She adds, “… I will say since the new writers [Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford, who succeeded departing head writer Ron Carlivati and whose material will begin airing in the spring of 2025] have come in, what they’ve brought into Gabi’s life I’m very happy with. I’m like, “Oh, wow.” They’ve taken things in just a really beautiful direction, and I’m just excited for it all.”
