DOOL Spoilers: Carson Boatman Talks Personal Struggle During Janel Pregnancy Loss Storyline

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers indicate that Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) were served with some saddening news during the June 26 edition of the soap, when the couple learned that they had miscarried.

Actor Carson Boatman recently shared his personal connection to Janel’s storyline with Soap Opera Digest (SOD).

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Carson Boatman Shares Personal Story

Boatman tells SOD that his wife, Julana Dizon, was pregnant during the filming of the Janel pregnancy loss story. The two were expecting their first child.

He goes on to say, “Honestly, it personally kind of scared me a little. It was like, ‘Oh man. There’s so much that can go wrong.’ And here I was speaking these words out loud about it as Johnny, knowing that I had a pregnant wife at home.”

The good news is that Carson and Julana ended up having a healthy baby girl in December 2023.

Boatman notes that he really tries to separate his personal life from his soapy world, stating, “I feel like letting either one impact the other can be unhealthy. As far as acting goes, when you’re in a scene, you just believe that it’s real in the moment and then you’re done. That’s how I operate.”

DOOL Spoilers – Are Janel Still Leaving Town?

DOOL spoilers reveal that it’s been a whirlwind of a week for Janel. They were on the cusp of leaving Salem for L.A., as Johnny was accepting a “dream job” of sorts, working with an admired director in the entertainment industry.

While the couple was assured their baby was fine days before, after Chanel experienced some severe cramps on Wednesday’s show, the couple rushed to the hospital only to find out they lost their baby.

Sadly, Chanel blames her mom, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) for exposing her to radiation, which happened back in April during Salem’s snowstorm when no one was aware Chanel was pregnant.

Will the two decide to stay “home” now, as they’ll need the support of their friends and family? Only time will tell.
