DOOL Spoilers: Carlivati Explains Returning To The Salem Writing Scene & Storylines

Days Spoilers: Carlivati Explains Returning To The Salem Writing Scene & StorylinesDays of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers suggest some major moments in the land of Salem as the summer months approach.

While the writer’s strike came to an end last fall, and daytime drama writers got back to work on their soaps, as DOOL’s filming schedule is months ahead of time, fans won’t see the difference Days Head Writer, Ron Carlivati and his team made when they reclaimed their roles until May 31.

Carlivati recently spoke with TV Insider to talk about what fans should expect in the weeks and months ahead.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Ron Carlivati Explains Returning To The Salem Writing Scene & Storylines

During the interview, Carlivati noted that the non-WGA writers who wrote scripts in his absence initially didn’t want to make “major moves” with storylines in hopes that the strike was going to be resolved quickly.

Sadly, that bet was thrown out the window when it took 148 days for WGA to come to an agreement. The Days Head Writer notes that January to May’s stories were not his, and he had “nothing to do” with them.

When he finally did get the reigns back to writing the soap, Carlivati stated he wanted to, “get back to a show that I understand and can enjoy and tell.” This meant bringing a number of in-progress arcs to a close to provide fans with a satisfying conclusion.

Days Spoilers – Ron Carlivati Talks About What Comes Next

While he didn’t write the story concerning Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) finding out that her baby son did not die, Carlivati says he did at least get to write about Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) finding out he was the child’s real father.

He also hints that fans should expect an explosive confrontation between Nicole and the woman who was behind the whole baby-switch/baby-daddy-switch debacle, Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty).

Days Head Writer also points out that fans can gear up for the big reveal around Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) not being Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) son, and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) finding out he is, as he was involved in that conclusion.

Plus, Carlivati confirms that Gabi Hernandez-DiMera (last played by Camila Banus) will return and has been recast, as fans can look forward to a “new” Gabi being released from jail and stirring things up in Salem.

In addition, Carlivati was behind the 15,000th show celebration for the soap, which centers around the passing of Doug Williams, played by the late and great Bill Hayes.

This will air in November of this year, and fans will get to see a plethora of major returns, including, Hope Williams-Brady (Kristian Alfonso), Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves), and Liz Chandler (Gloria Loring) – just to name a few.
