DOOL Spoilers: Abigail Reunites With Stefan

The DNA results are in on Days Of Our Lives! Tests confirm that the mystery woman (AnnaLynne McCord) is a 50 percent genetic match to Jack (Matthew Ashford), meaning she is in fact presumed dead Abigail DiMera….maybe.

At least for now, 1 to 1 odds are good enough for the Devereauxs and DiMeras. (It is Salem after all. Why they’re even bothering with a DNA test with the rampant result swapping epidemic that has been spreading through that town for decades, is beyond me.)

Either way, convinced that his wife has returned from the grave, Chad (Billy Flynn) is eager to get her home and start jogging her memory.

Not wanting to traumatize Thomas and Charlotte by abruptly introducing a stranger into their home and claiming she’s their dead mother, Chad proposes an alternate solution: stay at the DiMera mansion. Abigail agrees but how will she mesh with her new housemates?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Stefan DiMera Sparks Something Familiar In Abigail DiMera?

While she may not remember it, Abigail has quite a sorted history with her in brother-in-law, Stefan (Brandon Barash). The pair first crossed paths not long after Stefan came to Salem and found himself in love with one of Abigail’s DID alter’s, “Gabby”.

The real Gabi played on this obsession, making Stefan believe “Gabby” was a real person. His obsession came to a head when he assaulted Abigail, believing he was seducing “Gabby”. Not long after, Abigail discovered she was pregnant.

Unaware of her double life, Chad was enraged at Abigail’s infidelity and left her. Abigail then used Stefan’s obsession with “Gabby” against him herself by tricking him into marrying her to keep Chad from committing her to a mental hospital and keeping her away from newborn baby, Charlotte.

Eventually Charlotte’s true paternity was revealed to be Chad. Abigail divorced Stefan. Stefan fell in love with the real Gabi and they all lived happily after after.

Well, as happily ever after as you can live in Salem! Chad has never fully forgiven Stefan for taking advantage of Abigail in her fractured mental state. And tensions have continued to run high between Abigail and her ex-BFF’s hubby ever since as well.

But with Abigail back at Chez DiMera having no memory of any of this, might seeing his face stir up something more than animosity?

DOOL Spoilers – Abigail DiMera Is Smitten With Stefan DiMera!

Back before her personalities split due to Abigail’s guilt over Andre DiMera’s (Thaao Penghlis) murder, Stefan had been a source of comfort to Abby after Andre’s death. He is quite taken with her and is more than happy to lend her a shoulder to cry on during her time of mourning.

Abby is touched by his kindness and, at the time is one of the few people in Salem to see him as more than just a pompous prick. Without any memory of what came after, will she see the Stefan she first knew when he came to town?

It makes sense that some sparks might fly between the amnesiac Abigail and the oft-devilish DiMera. His initial attraction to her was intense, to say the least, and one could argue that he’s never entirely let it go.

While he doth proclaim Gabi to be the love of his life, history proves he doesn’t only have eyes for her. His most recent transgression with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) has landed him in hot water with his Latina love.

And it’s hard not to notice that with her long face, mousy locks, and statuesque build, Ava bares a noticeable resemblance to Abigail. So it’s easy to see how his feeling might resurface now that she’s back, even with a new face.

Stefan is also going to be in the doghouse, but good, now that Connie (Julie Dove) has exposed his affair to Gabi.

Forgiveness isn’t going to come easily to Gabi now that she knows her husband wasn’t just keeping up pretenses and slept with Ava for real while she was getting beat up in prison.

And with Stefan having alienated most of his family over the past year, friendly faces are going to be hard to come by. It seems fitting he’d turn to the new one he’s always been drawn to.

Once thing is for sure…Harold better put out the plastic tumblers for a while! With all these personalities under one DiMera roof, there will be a lot of glasses getting thrown against the wall!
