Days of Our Lives fans are used to resurrected characters, they pop up all the time-longtime fans will remember a whole island full were killed and brought back. In a crazy plot twist to cover up a mass firing of actors for financial reasons, at least a dozen were killed.

But several months later, the show’s ratings-and finances-were back up and it was revealed they were alive on an island called Melaswen (New Salem, spelled backwards).

Then came a several months arc where it was all explained and all the characters and actors were reintegrated into the landscape of the show. Of course, Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) was blamed for the Melaswen fiasco!

DOOL Spoilers: Li Shin Alive?

Days of Our Lives fans first met Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) on the digital spin-off Chad & Abby in Paris before he made his way to the main show in 2020.

His storyline continued on Peacock’s Beyond Salem series, where he became entangled in the three prisms story, in a roundabout way, revealing DiMera Enterprises had retrieved the third prism.

Later, he went to the main show where he became involved with Gabi Hernandez (then Camila Banus) before divorcing her so she could be with her true love, Stefan (Brandon Barash).

Unfortunately, his connection to Gabi led to his tragic death when he was stabbed; she was initially convicted and went to prison for it in 2023, recently found innocent.

The real killer turned out to be Connie Viniski (Julie Dove), and Gabi (now Cherie Jiminez) was released from prison-now, Li returns for a special episode to seek justice for his murder.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Gil Carter Alive-In A Flashback, But Fans Want Li

Gil Carter, portrayed by David S. Lee, made a brief appearance on the soap opera for just one month. Initially hired by Clyde Weston (James Read) to keep an eye on Ava (Tamara Braun), Gil met his demise when Ava unexpectedly shot and killed him.

Despite the lack of fan attachment to Gil, there is a growing anticipation for Li’s potential return from the dead.

The show’s official Instagram hinted at this exciting possibility, sparking a wave of supportive comments from eager fans. Many of them want him paired with Melinda Trask (Tina Huang).
