Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers indicate that while Vivian Alamain is technically a villainess, fans absolutely love it whenever she returns to Salem for a storyline.
Louise Sorel recently made a splashing comeback to the show in an interesting new arc that has her and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) causing chaos in Xander Kiriakis’ (Paul Telfer) life.
Sorel recently talked to Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about her current run and a “chilling” moment she had backstage.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers’ – Louise Sorel Shares Strange Backstage Experience
Sorel, of course, misses working with her longtime colleague and friend, the late and great John Aniston (Victor Kiriakis). As such, returning with a storyline that has him in the center of things makes it that much more special for her and her fans.
The veteran actress shares an interesting moment with SOD, about when she returned to the soap in November 2022 to film scenes that aired in 2023.
The show placed her in Aniston’s old dressing room, and as it was her first time back on the show since his passing, it stirred a lot within her.
She notes that she had always had the room next to him, so when they put her in his old dressing room, she got emotional.
After all, it was the room Aniston had for years. Sorel states that John was a “sweetheart”.
She goes on to say, “He was just so witty and gentle and lovely to work with but gone. And you just have to deal with it. You have to put it somewhere. I’ve lost very close friends recently, and it’s a horrible loss. And then we go on.”
DOOL Spoilers’ – Louise Sorel Talks Getting Kicked Out
Sorel goes on to tell SOD about another interesting thing that happened before wrapping up that November 2022 run. On the last day of work, she entered her dressing room and found a bed in there.
She’d never needed a bed before, so she realized it couldn’t be for her, which is when she had an epiphany – someone ‘important’ was moving into the dressing room after her!
Sorel was correct, as that someone ‘important’ ended up being Dick Van Dyke. The legend played Timothy Robicheaux, John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) biological father – an appearance that won him the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Guest Performer.
Alas, sadly, Sorel never got to meet Van Dyke, as she finished before he started.
