If it sometimes seems like you’re seeing double in Taylor Swift and Princess Kate’s clothing, you’re not the only one.

Remember when Kate rocked a one-shoulder Alexander McQueen white gown at the Baftas?

Well, the look stood out still for the fact that she chose to match the flowing white gown with long black gloves. Like, who does that?

Nobody, except icons, that is. Because nearly a year later, Taylor Swift rocked an identical piece at the Grammys – yup, complete with the long black gloves.

However, there were differences. While the Princess of Wales’ was a flowing dress, Swift’s included a high thigh split that favorably showed off her beautiful long legs.

Swift also opted to pair her look with an opulent Lorraine Schwartz, while Kate stunned with a bare neck. This doesn’t mean that Kate was entirely devoid of jewelry, as she rocked Zara earrings for her own outing.

Apart from pulling twinsies for their big nights, the “Blank Space” hitmaker and the Princess have long had a shared love for Jenny Packham, from the glittering and embellished gowns to the simpler pieces such as camel coats and chic stripes.

While their high profile roles are world’s apart, they’ve managed to unite it in their love of regal and embellished looks.

Both women take style cues from each other, with Kate matching the Jenny Packham gown featuring rows of crystal clusters and beading Swift wore for her “Blank Space” video in a powder blue Elie Saab dress featuring sheer panels across the chest and sleeves at Royal Ascot in 2019.

They’ve also matched in crystal clutch bags, glittered in gold and rocked monochrome looks for the events that find them in the eyes of the public throughout the year.

It also doesn’t hurt that Taylor Swift sang with her husband Prince William and Bon Jovi at a 2013 Centrepoint charity event held at Kensington Palace.
