‘Golden Bachelorette’ Chock Chapple Reveals Why He Never Remarried

Golden Bachelorette contestant Chock Chapple won the heart of Joan Vassos, and recently, he explained why he didn’t remarry his long-term partner, Kathy. It came after some ABC fans slammed him for being shy of commitment. Read on to find out more.

Just because Joan Vassos and Chock didn’t make the same mistake as Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner who rushed to marry Theresa Nist, doesn’t mean he does not commit. However, Golden Bachelorette fans have been giving him a hard time about it. He and Joan seem happy, but is it his idea not to tie the knot just yet?

If you watched The Golden Bachelorette, you will know that Chock Chapple, an insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas, was married and then got divorced after 12 years. Kathy, his next partner was with him for nine years and they never made it to the altar. Recently, he explained why. 

Why Didn’t Chock Chapple ReMarry?

The reason why Kathy and Chock didn’t take the next step arrived when Joan Vassos’ new man spoke with US Weekly recently. Kathy passed away two years ago, but they did have nine years together to go next level. However, according to Chock, it wasn’t his fault. She felt unwilling to tie the knot until her kids finished school.

In his Interview, Chock Chappel said:

I had a great marriage for 12 years. This happens to more than 50 percent of the people — it ended. And then I was involved with [Kathy] for nine years. We both had kids in elementary and high school and she was very adamant about getting the kids out of school before we got married. That was a decision that I supported.

How Is It Going With Joan Vassos?

From their social media, Golden Bachelorette fans can see that Joan Vassos and Chock seem to be in a good place. While they are not swooning over each other, they do get out and about. Importantly, unlike Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner, it seems that the ABC couple has agreed that they will both relocate to a new city. So, they have been house hunting in New York. 

On Tuesday night, Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple gave an update on their apartment hunt. On Instagram, Joan said, “Our real estate agent was so patient with us because we have no idea what we’re doing here. And we went to the Upper East Side, Upper West Side…We ended up in Tribeca, but the place we kinda settled on is in Soho.”
