How does Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) prison promote good behavior, or do I worry too much? It was intriguing to see Roy with a chess set in his cell, to allow chess pieces may not be as straightforward as one might think.
What if Roy swallows a knight if he can’t handle prison, or tries to put someone’s eyes out with a rook-however, American villains love chess-think Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo)!
There’s a chance that another prisoner might reach him before the knight does; Griff Reynolds, (Michael Condron) a nasty individual, manages to enter Roy’s cell and brandishes a knife.
He demands to know what Roy did to Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) body and holds the knife to Roy’s throat, ordering him to speak his last words.
Corrie’s Channique Sterling Brown (Dee-Dee Bailey) expressed her appreciation for working alongside David Neilson (Roy); she found it incredibly valuable to act alongside him and learn from his wisdom and expertise.
The writers are now giving Detective Sergeant Lisa Swain’s (Victoria Myers) character more depth. One moment she’s involved in a murder investigation, and the next she’s dealing with Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll), who is accused of perverting the course of justice.
Thankfully, her involvement in various aspects of police work is giving Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) a much-needed break-also, they’re exploring Swain’s personal life, including conflicts with her daughter over the phone.
When Carla Barlow (Alison King) lends an ear to Lisa, she reveals that her partner passed away and her daughter is struggling with grief.
Will this new bigger role also bring a romantic partner for her, seeing everyone deserves to have a life outside of work, and the detective sergeant stays so busy?
Vicky Myers, who portrays her, has stated that the character is gay, although she does have a daughter-it’s never been explained if she’s bi or if the daughter is adopted.
Who could catch her attention were she to: hopefully Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor), maybe a kiss will finally make her stop talking about the Institute.
The revelation of who killed Lauren is expected to happen this week. I have a suspicion that she might not be deceased, and even if she is, will anyone actually show any concern?
Despite the vast Panesar empire, why do they reside in a cramped house that can only accommodate a dining table?
The sudden appearance of Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) at their doorstep unsettles Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace); they may be worried about the prospect of having to extend their house if more people turn up.
But the real reason for the distress is that Nish was extremely abusive to Suki, causing their breakup.
Despite the family’s agreement to change the locks, Nish manages to enter by manipulating Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James); when Nish claims he’s dying, he’s accused of lying and forced to leave.
Later, he catches up with his grandson Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasal Choudhury) at McKlunky’s and pleads with him to listen, but a push from his son Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) sends him to the hospital.
The Panesars are skeptical of Nish’s claim of dying. Navin Chowdhry (Nish) mentioned that nobody believes him, indicating the lack of trust he has created within his family.
Nish has left his family nothing but a trail of abuse and lies, and this so-called terminal illness wouldn’t be the first con he pulled, if indeed, that’s what this is.
He tried pulling a scam on Kat Mitchell (Jessie Mitchell) most recently, with the help of crooked attorney Roger Peel (Ben Jones).
He’s also murdered several people and attempted to murder Suki and Eve in front of his family-no wonder they don’t want him there!
How does Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) find peace at night and ever sleep, her mind must be filled with all the schemes she creates to try and outdo everyone else.
She’s become even scarier lately, especially since she stopped wearing makeup and is dealing with Nicky Milligan’s (Lewis Cope) hospitalization.
Having decided to give Kim Tate (Claire King) a marathon run for her money shy is she having covert conversations with Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco)?
Ethan Anderson (Emile John) is shocked when he overhears them, expressing concerns about Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley) to Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) before collapsing.
To make matters worse, he has to tolerate Manpreet Sharma’s (Rebecca Sarker) attempts to revive him.
The mystery of Ella Forster’s (Paula Lane’s) past is unraveling as Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) investigates, and Manpreet is also getting involved in the search for answers.
Ella Forster landed a job as a receptionist at Brook Cottage Surgery after a confrontation at the Hide Bar & Bistro after Manpreet heard the argument.
Her boss, Jules Jefferson (Wayne Cater) treated Ella poorly, but she confided in her new friend Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) that she stayed for the job. When Jules insulted Mandy, Ella had enough and poured beer on Jules, quitting her job.
Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt), Mandy’s partner, mistakenly thought Mandy did it and confronted her, making Mandy upset.
