Big Brother Schedule Shakeup Amid Paris 2024 Olympics

Big Brother is going through another schedule shakeup. CBS announced the change just one week after the premiere. Will the Paris 2024 Olympics impact the show? Keep on reading to learn more.

Big Brother – Undergoes Schedule Change

Big Brother Season 26 premiered earlier this month. Fans might miss out on the first eviction from the house amid the schedule shakeup. As of Sunday, new episodes aired three nights per week at 9 p.m. ET. The days will remain the same, but the times will change.

A Paramount press release revealed that Thursday, July 25 episodes changed to 8 p.m. ET. Wednesday episodes will also air in that new timeslot, starting July 31st. However, Sunday episodes will stay in the 9 p.m. slot.Big Brother Season 26 will fall into October this year. The schedule will be most impacted by football. Some Sunday episodes could air later than 9:00 p.m. They could air anytime between 9:30 to 10:30, according to Big Brother Network.

The Paris 2024 Olympics will not impact the schedule. The Opening Ceremony airs on NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET on Friday, July 26. It will re-air at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday night.

Since Olympic events will air on NBC and stream on Peacock, it won’t impact the new episodes of Big Brother, which air on CBS.

CBS – Reality Series Impacted By Politics

This isn’t the first time Big Brother underwent a schedule shakeup. Season 26 premiered on Wednesday, July 17. The following episodes had to get shuffled around.

The second episode was delayed because of the Republican National Convention. This also delayed the live feeds.

President Biden spoke on Thursday, July 25, which also impacted the recent episode of Big Brother. Fans are already sick of these schedule shakeups.

However, the show could continue to be impacted by the Democratic National Convention and the presidential debate scheduled for September 10.

The recent episodes will have its first-ever BB AI Arena. The three nominees have one chance to save themselves before the live eviction. This leaves only two nominees on the block. Nothing else is known about this new twist, including what it involves.
