Finn is concerned about Sheila’s well-being and doesn’t want her to go back to her old ways, that’s why he suggested the idea of counseling during their talk at the hospital.
Sheila’s assurance to Finn that she won’t regress doesn’t guarantee that she won’t eventually recognize the potential benefits of starting therapy-although as longtime viewers remember, it didn’t help before.
This is her son Finn who desires this outcome, so it would be wise for Sheila to proceed with it and demonstrate her willingness-perhaps this might make a difference.
However, Sheila’s decision to play a prank on Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) at the hospital indicates that she still possesses a scheming nature, though a humorous one.
Despite being less aggressive than before, Sheila is far from qualifying for sainthood anytime soon!
It’s unlikely that Sheila will genuinely commit to counseling for her own sake, but she might aim to put on a facade for Finn, or perhaps really work on herself.
On the other hand, she might see therapy as a means to an end-Sheila could potentially leverage this opportunity to spend more time together, inviting Finn to join her therapy sessions.
It’s not hard to imagine Sheila presenting herself in the best light possible during joint therapy, since Finn may be touched and impressed by the positive changes he sees.
As Sheila makes progress in counseling, Finn’s trust in her is likely to grow, since he believes in the therapeutic process.
Given the potential benefits, it makes sense for Sheila to kickstart the process of counseling, especially if she can convince her son to at least sit in on them.
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and her family are always discussing how Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) therapy has helped him turn his life around.
However, Finn might feel it’s unfair when the Forresters don’t believe in Sheila’s therapy progress-Steffy might remind him Sheila fooled her mom, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) at first.
This could create tension between Finn and Steffy, potentially giving Sheila another victory.
Steffy might become furious if Finn continues to attend Sheila’s sessions and horrified that he’s being deceived by Sheila’s supposed “progress.” According to our predictions, Steffy and Finn’s marriage could be in serious trouble if they can’t resolve this Sheila situation.
