Carter invited Hope to his place the last time they were discussing their relationship. However, when Brooke offers to take Beth for the night, Hope may invites Carter to her place.

After all, Hope is more comfortable at home and just may want a quiet evening there instead of going out somewhere else for a date.

Deacon’s dinner would certainly not go to waste either. However, Hope would definitely not expect Liam to stop by.

Hope and Carter may have had their meal and moved things to the bedroom when Liam arrives. Imagine, Liam has his own key or perhaps Brooke has hidden one outside for him.
