Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) certainly has a tendency to repeat herself when it comes to her views on Hope and her manipulative ways. It’s no shocker when Steffy criticizes Hope, likening her to her mother, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).

Now, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) has joined in on the criticism, asserting that Hope is the one who misled Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor).

He suggested that Hope is merely using Carter, claiming she has a knack for getting “her hooks” into men before pushing them away.

With Ridge holding Hope responsible for the turmoil in Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) and Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) lives, he’s predicting Carter’s relationship with her is destined for disaster as well.

Ridge appears to be overlooking the numerous blunders made by Thomas and Liam, but we can understand why he might want to cast Hope as the antagonist in this scenario involving Carter.

He’s grappling with the pain of Carter’s betrayal and likely finds it simpler to place the blame on Hope instead. To be fair, Hope has indeed made some questionable choices recently, especially when compared to her former self from years past.

It’s no wonder Steffy might view Hope in a negative light after she kissed John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan). However, it does seem a bit excessive for everyone to treat Hope as if she’s some sort of villainous mastermind.

You’d think Hope was Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) given the way the Forresters have been discussing her!

However, with all the negativity directed at her from the Forrester clan and her mother’s betrayal, Hope might just tap into her rebellious side.

Brooke wasted no time in rushing to Ridge with the news about the takeover, leaving Hope feeling quite upset about how everything unfolded.

A preview video for the week of December 2-6 from B&B hints at the direction Hope’s storyline might take-if everyone thinks Hope’s evil she may as well be!

In that promo, she appears in a striking black outfit that echoes the style Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) adopted when she embraced her darker side!
